Recently, I sipped an iced coffee during a workshop break in Mexico. Seeing the ice cubes in the glass made me think of the various parts or facets each of our personalities are made of. Some of these personality parts — also known as ego states — can sometimes become “stuck” or “frozen” in past experiences. Gently guiding individuals to recognize the resources and strengths they possess today, is a core passion for me in my coaching. This fosters deep inner integration and alliance within clients.
You’re ten minutes away from the most important presentation of the quarter. You’re prepared. You’re brilliant. So why is a part of your brain suddenly convinced there’s a fatal flaw on slide 5? This isn’t a failure of willpower or a lack of “confidence.” It’s a predictable neurobiological phenomenon.
Creating a Sense of Safety Rapid technological advancements are transforming our environment at an unprecedented pace. In this era, one critical factor stands out for successful leadership: resilience. But what exactly does “resilience-informed (self-)leadership” mean, and how can we cultivate it in ourselves and our organisations? End of June 2025 I was invited by the […]
The "Inner Team" is a metaphor to talk about different sides of our personality.
Just like a real team, we have internal voices or "sides" that sometimes work together and sometimes conflict (e.g., one part wants to rest, while another pushes for perfection). My work helps you get these internal team members to communicate and cooperate effectively. It is a method that combines working with these inner personality sides (Ego States) with body awareness (Somatic). Since our experiences and emotions are often stored in the body, this approach allows us to access and resolve blockages that talk therapy alone might miss. It is derived from Ego State Therapy, which is scientifically supported. I have completed extensive training in Somatic Ego State Therapy with renowned experts Dr. Woltemade Hartmann and Dr. Silvia Zanotta. Additionally, I incorporate Hypnosystemic concepts learned from Dr. Gunther Schmidt to provide a holistic coaching experience.
I use an open-architecture approach that respects the complexity of your unique personaliy.
Unlike Internal Family Systems (IFS): We do not use a predefined map of sides.
Unlike Positive Intelligence (PQ): We do not label different parts broadly as "Saboteurs".
Our Approach: We look at the strategy of every personality side. Even a critical part is trying to protect you. We negotiate new roles for them rather than trying to get rid of them.
Because stress lives in the body, not just the mind. When you are under high pressure, your Prefrontal Cortex (logic/strategy) slows down, and your Autonomic Nervous System takes over. Your defensive personality parts effectively "lock the door" to the room where real decisions are made.
Standard coaching models (like CPCC or ORSC) often keep talking to the "rational you" even when that door is locked.
My approach uses somatic protocols to signal safety to the nervous system first, allowing us to open the door and work with the root cause.
We'll start by looking at your current situation together, like examining a detailed picture.
Our focus will be on understanding your challenges, but also on identifying times when things are different.
We'll explore your existing resources, making them available and transforming dysfunctional strategies into helpful approaches
We'll help you uncover your values, beliefs, and need – what truly matters to you in life. Think of these as your inner compass, guiding your direction. We'll then create concrete strategies to help you live more in line with your goal, step-by-step, in your daily life.
Health insurance does not cover these costs. However, if our work serves your professional development, the fees are often tax-deductible as continuing education expenses (please clarify details with your tax advisor).
